Barking Dog Enterprises

As a photographer and self-taught mixed media artist, I’ve traveled the world painting and photographing beautiful landscapes, cities and oceans. My art reflects colorful subjects and landscapes. My artistic style evolved after traveling to the Caribbean, Italy and Santa Fe. My collage method is called Scrapboarding where I create 3-D art using photos using boxes, beads and cloth. I was a professional photographer for 33 years for the Army. In Louisville, Kentucky, I photographed Kentucky Derby thoroughbred horses. I love photographing the Gettysburg Battlefield. Studying with acclaimed artist Sharon Rusch-Shaver of Tennessee, I learned to mix stunning oil paint colors, and that a linen canvas is just exquisite! By taking workshops and simply putting paint down with a palette knife, I continue to grow. I paint outside with the Plein Air Mountain Valley Painters and have exhibited in Louisville, Madison, Indiana and the Council for the Arts, Chambersburg. I have a husband Brian, a friendly Sheltie named Tishy and a fancy studio in Fayetteville!
